NEW --

Lakeshore Biomaterials announces a new catalog of polymer products with a simplified naming system.

Standard Grade Polymers are maintained in-stock but are only a partial representation of our polymer library. Please contact us for a complete listing of current inventory.

Polymers Inherent Viscosity (dL/g)* DL Lactide/Glycolide Mole Ratio Degradation Timeframe**

* The majority are measured at 0.5% w/v in CHCL3 at 30 C, with a size 25 Cannon-Fenske glass
capillary viscometer.

** Biodegradation kinetics vary from weeks to years depending upon numerous factors such as device geometry,
porosity, monomer ratio, molecular weight, inherent viscosity, polymer end group, crystalline vs. amorphous
character. Due to these and many other factors, the degradation information provided should be used as
a general guideline.

*** Previous 5050 DL High IV was run in HFIP not chloroform (old HFIP IV spec was 0.66 - 0.80 - New IV spec in chloroform is
0.45 - 0.55) Note: 5050 DLG 5E = historical 5050 DL High IV (due to IV result of HFIP vs. Chloroform)
