(Nasdaq: SRDX), a leading provider of surface modification and drug delivery technologies to the healthcare industry, announced today that it has acquired Brookwood Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a leading provider of drug delivery technology primarily to the pharmaceutical industry, from Southern Research Institute for $40 million in cash at closing and up to an additional $22 million in cash upon the successful achievement of specified milestones.
